Each question and answer provide you with ideas about how to structure your resume and how to improve it for specific job functions.What does the potential employer want? The employer wants to know that you understand his or her business. You can't simply claim to be an expert on that subject and expect the employer to be impressed. Be able to describe your knowledge, experience, skills, and capabilities as to those subjects.How will your job function benefit the potential employer? Think about what the person with whom you will be working may need. Make sure you find out what that is before you begin to write your resume. Do you have the time? If so, you need to find a way to fill that requirement. Also, there are many companies that pay you to sit at your computer for hours and use a voice mail or text message system for voice communications.Why would they want to interview you? In order to find the answers to these questions, you must know what the job function is of the company. As I discussed earlier, you need to be able to express how you will be able to help them with that function. Then, you need to be able to tell them why they should hire you. A well-designed resume will make this information come across clearly.How would other people describe you? Doesthe position describe you? For example, if you are a writer who has to interview for jobs, is it really possible to fit your skills and abilities into the description?Is the employer expecting you to provide proof of your skills and abilities? This is an important question because a lot of people think they can simply show up for an interview and say they know the job.By asking these questions, you will have a better chance of creating a resume that will be effective for every person in every job function. There are many questions to ask yourself when writing a resume and finding the answers to those questions will lead you to the perfect resume.
